This is our Rose bush. I cleaned some spots of the flower. We have some Hummingbirds and lots of Bumble Bees that love to spend time in it, however they didn't want to make an appearance as I was capturing this shot last evening :-)

I actually wanted this scene with the vantage point from the other side - backs of chimps and fronts of zoo-goers. But in the end, the chimp faces were more engaging. Prompt was: from the perspecxtive of the inside of a chimpanzee zoo habititat we see chimpanzees from the back, looking curiously through the glass at the people, men, women, children, who have expressive faces looking at the chimpanzees - hyperrealism, photographic --ar 16:9

At first I attempted to create a futureistic museum with current items as 'artificats' suchas iPhone, laptops, flat screen tv, etc. But that failed miserably. So I went to the prompt posted here. My problem seems that each child looked South American (latin, dark skinned) and I wanted a more diverse school group. No matter what I tried, it seemed to not provide diversity. This one was a tad more. My query is...what can be done to break out of the same thing being generated over and over. Do you shift that portion of the prompt so it's first? Advice appreciated. Prompt was: an Aztec museum. There is a glass case with a roughly carved statue of an ancient god sitting on a short pedistal and illuminated. Several faces of amazed school children who come from multiple ethnicities (white, black, hispanic, asian) have pressed in to observe this artificat. --ar 16:9

I went out one morning looking for something ...not certain what i was looking for. When i saw this bench and its shadow i thought it might make a dreamscape.I used the spot tool to get rid of a few unwanted twigs. The little spots on the river are tiny bugs. Probably a good time to fish.

I saw these arrangements at the store and saw the rainbow of colors. I did basic editing in LR then did extra processing in PS, increase the colors a bit. Finally, I took it to BeCasso and applied the Pastel2 filter which I edited to decrease the effect and make it look more natural.

We took an evening and booked tickets on a showbaot. I'm on the fence about this one. I like the graphic impact, and it has a lot of light/white space, but maybe the dark punches too hard. At any rate, I liked the overall impact.

I'm not sure why this idea came to mind, I don't look at the gallery to see if anyone else went this direction, but the idea of a very cool hip Granny busting some moves at a skateboard park seemed like something fun to try. My Midjourney prompt was: an old hip granny with wild purple hair and makeup and dressed in a long flowing multi-colored tunic is airborne while she does a trick on a skateboard at a skate board park --ar 16:9

I decided to try some staged images this week. I had fun with multiple kitchen items and then decided to try my luck with a new candle that wasn't in a container. I set the narrow FOV on the wick and took a burst of photos as I lit it and after I blew it out. This was my favorite as the tip of the wick is still hot and the base of the wick was not burned. Minimal cropping and a few edits in LRC. I don't think my lens info will show up. I used a :Laowa 90mm Macro 2X with an aperature of 2.8

I had a lot of fun liquifying all sorts of photos, including some of sculptures, plants, pets, tree bark, pebbles, and quilts. I have marbled fabric in the past and discovered that one can achieve some of the same effects by liquifying photos. This is a photo of some tree bark that I distorted to completely fill the photo frame and then made patterns in the colors using some design ideas from a book on marbling fabric.

Somewhere along the way this week I wondered if I could get the AI to do a hidden objects photo. Midjourney gave me a few things like the books and the meat cleaver. In Photoshop, with generative fill to add... shoe, wind turbine, sombrero, starfish, teapot, snake, and broom. It's not hard to find them, but it was kind of fun to create them.

We are not the shoot-em-up bang bang sort on the 4th, but we do like sparklers and smoke bombs. My family was visiting and we played for over an hour creating long exposures with sparklers and our smart phone flashlights. I used the timer to give us 10 seconds to get situated and then a 30 second exposure.

After pursuing a few attempts of 'fireworks reflected on a lake' - I remembered one of my most fond memories. It was 1977 and I was a music student in Vienna. One day we traveled to Salzburg for the Helbrun Music Festivaal. That night we gathered around a small lake. The orchestra sat in lantern-lit boats and played Handel's Firework Music with fireworks splashing in the sky against the alps. You can imagine - it was unforgettable. So I tried to recreate that moment and AI did a pretty good job. Midjourney - promt was: a nighttime scene where a crowd watches a performing orchestra lit by lanterns where the musicians sit and play in several little boats floating on a small lake in Salzburg, Austria. Fireworks explode in the sky above. --ar 16:9
