Rachel says:

This is a brass tray from Turkey which I have had for many years. I like the patina so I accentuated it a bit and added a bit of vignetting.

I'm thankful for moments of seeing it all connected. Thankful for time and health to play with my macro lens and wander in my soggy yard. Thankful to share some of my photography journey with you.

Ricky says:

Like most of you, I have a lot to be thankful for. Family, for example, but they are far away. You all know I'm smitten by my pups and they have been my saving grace through the pandemic. I've lived alone on the mountain now since Spring 2019.

My "thankful for..." story is about Hugo. Hugo is Portugese. He was working in Luxembourg when we met. By April 2021 we began making plans for him to come to the USA. Due to travel restricions the original June date didn't happen, and his plane ticket was changed seven times over the next several months. In September, the White House finally announced that EU travel would open in early November. He arrived on November 8th and this photo expresses more than it might appear. It is relaxed - comfortable - loving - fitting and so much more. I could not be more thankful for Hugo. My world is still in flux, but he, and the pups, are a constant and a comfort in these difficult times. The next steps will be challenging...the process of immigration. Keep us in your thoughts. I'm sure the process will be daunting.
