Peter says: 

This week my wife celebrated a milestone birthday on Valentine’s Day and due to adverse weather, a planned Helicopter ride over Fraser Island had to be postponed until today.
It is not the best of photos but I could not go past sharing this RUSTY RELIC. It is the SS MAHENO SHIPWRECK and was washed up on the shore of 75-mile beach, Fraser Island in 1935.

For reference
Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world, where rainforests grow on sand dunes. It is World Heritage listed, 123 km long and 22 km at the widest point, and located about 10 km from the coast of Hervey Bay where we live. It is a remarkable place and the views from the helicopter were awesome.

Black and white was fun and I managed to get out and about on a day when it wasn't raining. Quite a lot of photos were taken but when converted to black and white I liked this one best. A few of the colors were adjusted and an inverted circular gradient was added to emphasize the middle of the picture. I had another similar picture without the four people in the distance but decided to use this one as they gave perspective. If it was allowed I might have cropped this square
