Hugo says:

Buffalo is a majestic animal, and I was lucky to see a group of them, but this one protected them. It's just a 45 minute drive, but it's so nice to see Elk, Deer, Buffalos, Coyotes, and wild turkeys... and it's all so beautiful to watch and be grateful for.

Remembering Wars
I attended the Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre. It was a heartfelt ceremony honoring those who served our country. It was also the first time I joined in singing G-d Save the 'King'! ( I usually live under a rock!)

This is a neon pothos - or it was. Imanipulated the color (obviously), but then used the unedited layer below - erasing some of the color manipulated layer to keep the firely orange..

Week 44, Visual Tension

Mary says:

Started out with a photo of some metal cylinders that I used the warp tool in PS to stretch and manipulate so that they appeared to be under tension. Pretty straight forward. Put these three together, moving in different directions, for visual tension. Kept thinking something was missing and ended up deciding a snake entwined in the photo would be a neat contrast of organic and inorganic. In my opinion, a venomous water moccasin is always a course of tension.

This is a transparent hanging lamp in the Houston airport Terminal B. I liked all of the various things that are distorted. Not a multiple exposure - just shot as is - sharpened - and added a bit of vibrance. The end.

Ricky says:

With the travel this week, finding that visual tension has been challenging - however, I decided to shoot the supports in the terminal - at an angle - hoping that the weight, support, lines, and tilt, would provide visual tension interest. No matter, this time of day and the ambient light created lovely colors.

Happiness is morning and being alone every now and then. This is the dawn view at my friend's farm in Eugene, OR. Every time I visit I am inspired to get up with the sun to see the show. It's a lovely time for deep breaths and reflections on delightful song lyrics.

Literally a landmark - Cape Neddick Light (Nubble Light) in York Maine. We have had a difficult few months, and took a break to reset after losing my Dad in September. Mom, Matt and I went to Maine for a few days. I haven't taken many photos at all for months, but this trip got me back into it. I havent posted anything here for quite awhile. I have missed it, but was just overwhelmed. We'll see how the next few weeks go.....

This was a wonderful pink wall with a flower bed I shot during my trip to Portugal. I decided to "slice it". Maybe a bit sideways thinking here, but I had fun.

Ricky says:

I was lucky to have a ka-zillion landmarks from my trip to Pportugal, but the one that looms most are actaully two. The Sanctuary of Christ the King is a Catholic monument and shrine dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ overlooking the city of Lisbon situated in Almada, in Portugal. It was inspired by the Christ the Redeemer statue of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. The 25 de Abril Bridge is a suspension bridge connecting the city of Lisbon, capital of Portugal, to the municipality of Almada on the left bank of the Tagus River.
