A highlight of our visit will be a special cultural exchange with a group of Japanese quilters, sharing inspiration and creativity across cultures. Don’t miss Ricky’s quilt, The Visitation, featured in a special exhibition, where Ricky will also be presenting a lecture about the story and artistry behind this remarkable work.
  Friday - Sunday July 31 - August 2

Leaving Birmingham, we’ll journey south through the English countryside, with unforgettable stops along the way. Marvel at the soaring spire of Salisbury Cathedral, one of England’s greatest medieval treasures, and stand in awe before the ancient wonder of Stonehenge. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in the elegant city of Bath, our home for the next three nights.

Beautiful Bath
We’ll spend three delightful nights in Bath, one of England’s most elegant and historic cities. Enjoy a free day to explore the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, the graceful Royal Crescent, and the Jane Austen Centre and Assembly Rooms—each offering a glimpse into the city’s rich heritage. We’ll also take a day trip south to Devon (Exeter) for a special guild gathering with British quilters, featuring a group Show & Tell and lecture by Ricky. A perfect blend of culture, history, and creative connection!

The Grand Finale – Enchanting Edinburgh
Our journey culminates in Edinburgh, Scotland, a city steeped in history, mystery, and undeniable charm. From its dramatic castle perched high above the city to its cobblestone closes and sweeping views, Edinburgh is nothing short of magical. We’ll visit the breathtaking Scottish Tapestry, a masterpiece that beautifully weaves together centuries of Scotland’s story and gather with quilters and have a cultural exchange with a 2nd lecture from Ricky plus show-n-tell.

And as the perfect finale, experience the world-famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo—an unforgettable evening of pageantry and pride. Set against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, this spectacular event features massed pipe bands, military precision, dancers, and fireworks, all pulsing with the spirit of Scotland.
