Sorry everyone, the first paragraph was omitted in our June Newsletter! Ricky wanted to make sure to keep you posted on his recent health issues:
On the eve of our Super Seminar in Eau Claire, WI I thought I had come down with the flu. The good news is that there were enough nurses in the audience to urge me to go to an Urgent Care facility, where I was diagnosed with an internal bacterial infection. Treatments started and I managed to present a few of my lectures but wasn't improving much. On the last afternoon of the seminar I went to the emergency room to determine if I needed to be admitted. Tests indicated that things were starting to look up so I was released. The situation was potentially very severe, but I'm happy to say after twelve days of antiboitics and rest, I was back on my feet and feeling good.
I want to thank Alex Anderson and Libby Lehman for coming to my rescue by delivering some of my lecture demos for me. I am so grateful to work with such a solid team, who went overboard to make sure the seminar would be a success. I am just as grateful to the Eau Claire registrants for being understanding, supportive, and kind. The world could use more quilters, if you ask me. Those following me on Facebook got a good laugh during my recovery.

I received this email from one of the seminar registrants, and wanted to share it with you:
I just wanted to send a note thanking you for a great seminar in Eau Claire. While it turned out to not be what anybody expected it was still an exceptional seminar. If I get a chance I would definitely go again.
The entire group were true professionals in every sense of the word. Everybody did their level best to deliver what had been promised to us and given the circumstances that was no small task. The three of you make a great team but the way I see it there is a team of 6 and without Justin, John and Pat this machine wouldn't run the way it does. Kudos to all of you, without those behind the scenes the stars would not shine as bright.
Ricky, you talk a lot about how grateful you are that quilters let you into their world but these seminars also let us into yours, and it's pretty spectacular from where I sit, thank you for the peek into it. I can't wait to see the concert when it is on dvd. Just remember, take some time to enjoy the little things along the way or you'll land back in the ER again and nobody wants that.
I hope your group comes back to my area again sometime soon. I'll be a repeat customer for sure. Next time I want all 6 autographs, for they are all valuable in my book.
Take Care Babette Sneer
