Seminars Coming To A City Near You!

Ricky will be presenting his 2.5 day seminar in San Antonio, Texas and Newark, Deleware with special guest, Alex Anderson. We urge all quilters living within the green zone (see maps below) to attend. Ricky shares information for quilters of all types: Traditional to contemporary, beginning to advanced. The seminar requires no supply list and there is no sewing! How can this be productive? How does a quilter learn in a seminar environment? Ricky just has the knack for teaching that will keep you riveted to the lessons and inspired when you leave!

Newark is affectionately know as the little hamlet between the creeks. It has become a bustling small city, yet Newark has retained its college town charm and industrial and commercial diversity.

Limited Edition Fabrics Coming - 2015

In 2015 Ricky will be offering Limited Edition hand-dyed fabrics (one-yard increments). These fabrics will be revealed in the newsletters and available for purchase for only a few days. Once the orders are closed, the fabrics will be dyed and orders fulfilled. Unlike the 2014 Fabric of the Month club, you will be able to see the fabrics in advance to determine if you like them and want them! Also, you will be able to order more than just one one-yard piece! You won't need to pre-order a year in advance. You can simply partake each month and get the fabrics you most like!

In addition, Ricky will pair the new fabric with four picks to create an optional five-fabric bundle which coordinates with and includes the Limited Edition fabric. The most popular fabrics may be introduced into the Ricky Tims Online Store beginning in 2016, but not before.

The new fabrics will only be available for a few days following each announcement so watch your newsletters. The first Limited Edition fabric will be introduced in December and shipped in early January.

Ponnie Brinkman Scholarship

The Ponnie Brinkman Retreat Scholarship is an annual scholarship awarded to an individual who, as a novice quilter, excels in confidence, enthusiasm, originality and productivity. The scholarship enables the recipient the opportunity to attend a five-day La Veta Quilt Retreat.

The annual scholarship provides one recipient free retreat tuition and $500 toward expenses. Click here to locate the nomination form, review eligibility requirements, and learn about the nomination procedure. The deadline for nominations is November 1, 2014.
