Ricky Tims, Alex Anderson and Libby Lehman eductate, entertain and inspire.
The Ricky Tims Super Quilt Seminar in Asheville, North Carolina concluded yesterday. A big thanks to the Asheville Quilt Guild for providing all the volunteers for this event and a shout out to Bernina USA for their continued support. The Asheville Cotton Co. (Bernina dealer) was on site and new Bernina sewing machines went home with several quilters who took advantage of the dreat deals that were offered. The Ricky Tims Whoo-hoo Nation grew by about 470 with students coming from several states! And, most of them are heading home with new hand-dyed fabric, books, CDs and DVDs to add to their collection!
One student found a new way to audition fabric before purchasing.
What a great experience! And Pat is the best problem solver. You'd better not ever lose her!! Throughly enjoyed the "stars" (including Justin) and learned a lot. Libby couldn't say enough about loving her 830 so I bought one!! People, if you've never been to a RTS you MUST go - first chance you get!! How's the remodel coming, Ricky?
What a great experience - from beginning to end. Pat is the greatest problem solver! Don't ever let her go!! Throughly enjoyed Ricky, Libby, Alex and Justin. If you've never been - you MUST go!! First chance you get! How is the remodel coming, Ricky?
Where do I start...... This was one of the best experiences of my life. I LOVE piano music as much as quilts. I played your CD's all afternoon and now the tunes are just floating in my head. We can't thank you, Libby, Alex, Justin and crew enough. You have been blessed with so many talents. God Bless.
Thanks to all of you for such a very rewarding experience!! I learned so much over the course of the weekend! I got my money back one hundred fold!!
Ricky... You are such a talented and gifted individual with so much to offer to everyone you meet! I feel so blessed that our paths crossed during my lifetime!
I have not forgot about the pickles!
And remember... next time a cook offers you seconds, say yes ma'am!! :) ... She might think you don't like her cooking if you say no. ha!
I had the priviledge of volunteering for Ricky Tims' Seminar which ended yesterday. It was sponsored by our Asheville Quilt Guild and I was honored to work with Alex Anderson all three days. If you quilt at all, seeing Ricky Tims, Alex and Libby Lehman is a "must". We laughed, cried and enjoyed ourselves so much-what entertainment! what great instruction! Thanks so much! WOOOOOOHOOOOO! (It didn't hurt that Ricky, Justin and Libby are Texans-we lived in Texas 22 years!)
Ricky Tims is rolling out his new "Gaelic Blessing" quilt which features a variation on the Double Irish Chain pattern with a beautiful Celtic Cross done with minimal applique. This pseudo-traditional, easy-to-make quilt measures 63" x 63." Both the pattern and hand-dyed fabric kit are now available!.
Please take the poll below and help us determine how many patters and kits we should prepare, this does not obligate you in any way.
