Ricky Tims' quilts have been displayed
the world over. His current work cannot be defined
by one distinct style. Instead, he has endeavored to
create a variety of styles based on certain formulas.
This process has enabled him to develop into a distinctive,
yet multi-faceted designer.
His Rhapsody Quilts (see Fire
Dragon Rhapsody, left), are based on symmetrical sketches
that generally feature gently flowing designs that
are reversed and mirrored. Other quilts, such as those
in his Convergence Series, tend toward the artistic.
All of his quilts are rooted in tradition but generally
have a contemporary feel.
