Alex Anderson, Ricky Tims,
Team Up for Internet-Based, TV Show!

WOW! The Quilt Show went live on January 1, and in the first day over 600 quilters joined the site. Don't wait another minute to see what all the fuss is about!

If you cant' wait - that's okay, you can come back and read this stupid newsletter later - visit. www.thequiltshow.com

Most quilters know that Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson was cancelled last year and ony reruns are curretnly offered. Thousands of quilters wrote emails and letters to HGTV begging for the show to conintue - but to no avail. Well, thanks to Bernina of America and ARJJ inc, quilters will soon have an opportunity to have a new show with a new format that will be accessed on the internet.

Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims are teaming up to co-host the new show. "The format is different," says Alex, "There will be elements such as special guests and how-to projects that will be familiar, but this show is designed to have more enery, special features, and tidbits of entertainment that will be unlike any other quilting program." The show is attempting to be the first quilting show with a live audience, an aspect that should dramatically change the dynamics of what quilters are used to seeing.

Why have a show on the internet? Ricky Tims says, "The internet is the future. We've just learned that 21 million quilters in the US use high speed to access the internet, so we hope that many of those quilters will visit the site, not only to watch the show, but to connect with quilters all over the world. Basically, it is like My Space for quilters."

The site is also home to the World Quilt Community where members can blog, chat, and post on a Q and A comment forum. Basic Memebership is FREE and provides access to the Daily Blog(a quilt version of USA Today), chat, blog, and forum. Star Members can watch the shows and have access to the massive search engine being created on the site. There is a Gold Star Charter Memebership drive underway from now until April 1 for $16.95.

Visit The Quilt Show online to join.

Totally Renovated Website

FINALLY! And hopefully well worth the wait! The new Ricky Tims website is live! You will notice nothing familiar about it other than some of the content.

When you enter through www.rickytims.com you'll be greeted with a page with portals to Music Pages and Quilt Pages. The music side is dedicated to RIcky's music, but has a link over to the Quilt Pages. Be sure to visit the music side. Now, for the first time, you can listen to samples of Ricky's music.

The Quilt Pages are also revised and you'll find easy navigation on the left side of the web window. The quilt entry page has an area for frequent postings. This is called a BLOG - short for Web Log. Ricky's Blah Blah Blog will give you updates, musings, rambelings, and notices about what's going on. Check it out often and you'll not miss a beat and you won't have to wait for the newsletter.

The Online Store is much more user friendly and provies easier shopping for our customers. Just go browse around the site and see what there is to see.

Many thanks to webmaster Paul Alhadef for his enthusiasm, skill, and support for this massive renovation.
