Rhapsody Quilts Deadline for Book and Calendar

Hang on to your hat! Whirling faster than a Turkish dervish is the speed at which progress is being made on Ricky’s new book on Rhapsody Quilts. He just got the timeline from the publisher a couple of days ago. If you are interested in submitting a quilt for consideration, read the following carefully. There are also plans for a 2008 Rhapsody Calendar. Early submissions will be considered for both book and calendar. Later submissions will only be considered for the calendar.

January 5, 2007 - noon – Deadline for digital photo images to be sent to ricky@rickytims.com. This image full – and detail - do not have to be of the finished quilt, but must represent the entire quilt and design, at least a finished top. DO NOT SEND MORE THAN TWO IMAGES OR YOUR QUILT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

January 5 - at end of day - All quilters who submitted quilts for consideration will be notified by email of selections.

January 24 - Accepted quilts must be completed (quilted and bound) and be in Ricky’s possession. Ricky will be leaving on the next day to go to Denver for photography. Quilts arriving late will be returned.

Please do not submit a quilt that you cannot commit to finish and ship to arrive by January 24.

March 15 - end of day. Reply regarding acceptance will be sent via email

May 8 - Accepted Quilts MUST be in Ricky’s possession for photography.

THERE IS NO FUDGE ROOM OR GRACE PERIOD – THESE DEADLINES ARE ABSOLUTE!

Note: There will be future, supplemental Rhapsody 'booklets' coming out frequently over the next few years. However, these books are ‘theme based’, but they will not contain as many quilt images. Quilts for these booklets must fit that theme. This being said – it provides other opportunities for you to work on your quilt and submit it for consideration in one of these future publications.
