Quilt
for Sale: “Passage”
Ok folks, buckle your
seatbelts because Ricky is going to do something that nobody thought he would
ever do. He’s going to make
“Passage” available for purchase. That’s
right, your eyes are not deceiving you. After
years of fans asking if the quilt was for sell, or if he
had a pattern for it or even if he would make one for them,
he’s finally going to do the unthinkable.
You can click “here” for
details. If you are interested and
somebody has already purchased the quilt, remember, we have Giclee
Fine Art Prints of Passage available. Once
the quilt is purchased, unless you are a friend of the lucky owner, chances of
you seeing this quilt again will be slim.
Travels:
Wichita
Falls, TX; Arlington, TX; RMQR – Colorado Springs, CO; Market & Festival
After basically a month off in August from traveling, Ricky hit the road with a
vengeance in September. With
lectures and workshops in Washington D.C., Denver, San Antonio and Spokane,
Ricky is glad that September is finished. He
would like to extend his thanks to all involved in those cities for making these
travels so enjoyable.
This
month Ricky has traveled to Wichita Falls and Arlington, Texas.
He will travel to Colorado Springs for his bi-annual Rocky Mountain Quilt
Retreat followed immediately by the International Quilt Market and Festival in
Houston, Texas. If
you’re going
to be in and around Houston during this time, stop by the booth
and say hi.
Internet
Store: New
Items
Ok,
I’m sure you’re wondering where the new items are that
we promised to be on the website last month. Well…
No seriously, the month of September was simply a chaotic nightmare.
The page is almost complete and will reflect the new items.
In addition, we will also be including
45” x 45” spirals on the
fabric page. We
have been getting a lot of requests for the spirals so
they are coming to the web soon.
DVD's
& VHS:
Ricky's Quilting techniques available
soon
Well,
it’s almost
completed!
After working most of August and around
his trips during September, we have nearly completed
Ricky’s 1st Instructional video
Quilting Caveman Style and Fishing”.
It has been a blast making this video and must say, quite an interesting
endeavor. It looks as though it
will not be completed by Market and Festival later this month, however we will
have a promo for all to see. Like
we said last month, “it’s not your typical how-to video!” With
the delays and the many changes we’ve made during
production, we can see how Steven Spielburg must feel
when making his big productions!!! So,
if you are in Houston, stop by the booth be among the
first to preview “Quilting Caveman
Style and Fishing”.
Harmonic
Convergence Book: Thanks
for sending the photos!!!
Again,
we would like to extend our many thanks to all of you who submitted
photos for possible publication in Ricky’s 1st book. After all was said and done, nearly 200 photos were submitted
and Ricky had the unenviable job of trying to narrow down the field to the
prescribed amount set forth by the Publisher.
Let’s just say that he “almost” made it!
For
those of you whose quilt’s were selected and were sent to us for
photography, we will be returning those to you in the next few
weeks.
Thank you again for allowing us to horde your quilts for a while.
The photographs turned-out beautiful and we hope that you will agree once
you see the finished product next fall.
Well,
I guess that's about it. Till next month, Ricky says “ stay
cool and happy quilting.”
