Travels:  Lowell, Massachusettes

Well, July was another worldwind month for Ricky.  Thanks to all of you associated with Quilt Camp in the Pines in Flagstaff, AZ; Maine Quilts 2002 in Augusta, ME; and finally, AQS in Nashville, TN for such a great time.

This month, Ricky  finds himself making only 1 trip and that to Lowell, MA for New England Images 2002 at the Lowell Quilt Festival August 15-18.

Internet Store: New Fabric Pages - corrected!
Last month we told you about the New updated Caveman Fabric pages.  Well, unbeknownst to us, it didn't work properly.  We apologize but after being notified that it didn't work like it was intended, we have corrected the pages.  Now, you CAN select each individual image to see a larger image and again, if that is the selection you would like to purchase, that's the one you get.  Thanks to Beth in Illinois for the "heads-up"!

Giclee: New Fine Art Prints
We now have Giclee Fine Art Prints of 3 of Ricky's most popular quilts- Passage, Songe d'Automne and The Beat Goes On.  These prints have super-fine detail unmatched in traditional Offset Lithography or Serographs.  Like Nashville, we will have them in Houston at IQA at the Tims Art Quilt Studio booth for you to see.  They truly are amazing and you have to see the real thing to believe the clarity, color, and definition

DVD's & VHS: Ricky's Quilting techniques available soon
With Ricky only making one trip this month, we will finally be able to get those instructional videos made that everybody has been wanting.  We promise you that they will not be your typical instructional videos, (as if anything Ricky does is typical)!  We plan to have them ready for IQA Market and Festival in October/November 2002.  So, if you are attending any of these events, please stop by and take peak and say Hi.

Quiltmaker Magazine: Kool Kaleidoscope article
Check-out the September/October '02 No. 87 edition of Quiltmaker Magazine.  The article on page 32 offers Ricky's new Kool Kaleidoscope complete with instructions and wonderful pictures of 2 different versions.

Harmonic Convergence Book: Send Photos!!!

Finally, thanks to all who have submitted pictures of their Harmonic Convergence quilts  so far.   The deadline is fast approaching at September 1, 2002, so if you would like your quilt to be considered for the 1st Ricky Tims  book, please send a snapshot of the completed quiltt (quilted/bound) by snail mail to TAQS, attn:  HC - BOOK, 6043 Newcombe CT, Arvada, CO 80004.  You may also email me with a jpeg attachment with HC BOOK in the subject line.  If your quilt is selected, we'll notify you with further instructions.

Well, I guess that's about it.  Till next month, stay cool and happy quilting.

Ricky
