Apologies: internet mailing list

Howdy everybody!!!

First of all, before we go any further, I need to apologize to those of you who asked to be removed from the mailing list.  A couple of days after we sent out the inaugural Newsletter, the computer crashed and burned including the "mailing list" database which HAD been edited to remove your names from it.  However, there were way too many little pink slips which you all had signed-up with to go through and pull your names out.  So, when rebuilding the database, all the names were re-entered.  We're sorry for this inconvenience, but again, if you want your name removed, please click REMOVE and type "remove" in the subject line  and we'll remove your name from the database AGAIN.

travels:  Arizona, Maine & Nashville

Now, since all of that jazz is over!  Wow!!! What a month it has been for me.  I traveled to Arroyo Grande, California & Fresno, California where I taught workshops and did lectures.  Then, Justin the Director of Operations for TAQS and I traveled to Wichita, Kansas for Reflections 2002 where I taught and lectured, but also had a booth.  Thanks to all of you who made my trips possible and being such great hosts.

This month, I travel to Flagstaff, Arizona for Quilt Camp in the Pines July 14-21; Augusta, Maine for Maine Quilts 2002 from July 25-28; and then, Justin and I will be in Nashville, Tennessee for AQS Quilt Exposition 2002 July 31-August 3 where again, I'll teach and lecture and also have a booth.  If you have a chance to stop by and say Hi.

Quilts: 2 New Quilts

Well, since returning from Wichita, I have completed one large quilt (yet unnamed) and am trying to finish another large quilt to meet the deadline for IQA in Houston later this year.  In addition to these, my Mom and Dad came to visit and I am helping Dad make a Lone Star quilt.  Please click on either of  the previous links to see some pictures of those quilts.

Internet Store:
New Fabric Pages

We have hopefully improved shopping on the Ricky Tims Internet Store.  Last month I told you about the new line of fabrics we have, Delicious Fabric and about the new lower shipping rates.  Well, this month, we have now reorganized the Caveman Fabric page.  I should say Caveman Fabric pages.  Now, when you select Caveman Fabric to shop, you will be directed to 3 different buttons from which to choose.  Multi-Colored Caveman, Pastel Caveman, and Dark Caveman.  Each page will have multiple fabrics pictured so be sure to scroll down through them all.  All thumbnails are linked to a larger picture so you'll be able to see the fabric before selecting.  NOW, when selecting the fabric, THAT is the fabric you'll receive.  Each fabric has an id# like (D07-03-02-6) which corresponds to only ONE fabric here at the studio.  That is the fabric you get and not something similar.  We hope that you find this an advantageous reorganization because it was a lot of work and we feel that it's worth it.

Winner: Wichita, KS Drawing

Congratulations to Barbara Thiessen of Wichita, Kansas.  Barbara's name was randomly drawn from about 300 entries from Reflections 2002 as the winner of that edition of the Ricky Tims' Goodie Basket.  We hope Barbara enjoys the CD's, patterns, and fabrics.

Harmonic Convergence Book: Send Photos!!!

Finally, don't forget that I am in the process of collecting pictures of your completed Harmonic Convergence quilts.  The deadline is fast approaching at September 1, 2002, so if you would like your quilt to be considered for the 1st Ricky Tims  book, please send a snapshot by snail mail to TAQS, attn:  HC - BOOK, 6043 Newcombe CT, Arvada, CO 80004.  You may also email me with a jpeg attachment with HC BOOK in the subject line.  If your quilt is selected, we'll notify you with further instructions.

Well, I guess that's about it.  Till next month, stay cool and happy quilting.
